Fiona Jacques

UX | UI Designer

Hello! I’m a Yorkshire lass who’s creative to the core.

Design and anything from painting to product design, have always been activities I’ve had a passion for. The path to Northumbria University stemmed from A-levels, a Foundation degree in Design and a “gap year”. Throughout the three years I’ve truly enjoyed noticing the development in my own skill set while being at university, app prototyping, physical computing and agile collaborations are all skills I’ve embraced and developed, working tirelessly to achieve considered and efficient designs. I have great appreciation and passion for the user experience of designs. The ability we have as designers to solve problems, change lives and create memorable experiences, from the smallest app interaction to the creation of a new wearable device.

University has been brilliant; the knowledge of the lectures, collaborations with clients and working in partnership with peers have developed my confidence and drive to excel. Amplified with a summer placement with Plump an agency in York. Working in an agency, iterating designs as a team and taking part in client discovery workshops, has only further ignited my passion for design and I am excited to see where my career will lead me.
